ChromogenixAntithrombin 10IUisforthedeterminationofHeparininplasma.Antithrombininconjunctionwithheparinelikesubstancesisapotentinhibitorofthrombin,factorXa,factorXlaandfactorlXa. AntithrombinispreparedfromhumanplasmaandpurifiedbyaffinitychromatographywithanHeparineSepharosegelaccordingtotheprotocolofMiller-Anderssonetal.(Thromb.Res.5,439-452,1974).
