The monoclonal antibody JAQ1 reacts with the platelet collagen receptor GPVI. On the one hand, it inhibits collagen-induced aggregation of mouse platelets, whereas cross-linking of JAQ1 by a secondary antibody induces platelet activation and aggregation.
JAQ1 can be used for immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemical analysis of acetone-fixed frozen sections, immunofluorescent staining, and Western blot analysis under non-reducing condtions.
