Creprotein,frombacteriophageP1,catalyzesrecombinationbetween34basepairtargetsequences, namedloxsites.CRElentiviralparticles can catalyze thejointingeventInVivo inthepresenceof loxsites.PurifiedCREenzymecanjointindividualplasmidscontainingloxsites.

ThisproductconstitutivelyexpressesnuclearlocalizedCREenzyme inallcelltypes. Thislentivirus waspurifiedintoPBSsolutionwhichisusedfornon-serumcellcultureandhard-to-transducedcelltypes,ordireclyusedforinvivoapplication.
