Sample was incubated with Human IgA1 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-27921) at a dilution of 200 ng/mL, 50 ng/mL, and 10 ng/mL, followed by alkaline phosphatase conjugated anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody. There was no cross reaction to human IgG, IgM, IgD, or IgE. Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The advantages of using recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire. IgM is expressed intracellularly, during early stages of B lymphopoiesis, and then on the surface of more mature B cells in the bone marrow and peripheral B cells.
