hoursafterthehLHsurge,thewalloftheenlargedfolliclerupturesatovulationandthematureovumis extruded.DetectionofthehLHsurgecanaidinpredictingthetimeofovulation. TheonsetofthehLH surgeprecedesovulationbyapproximately30hours. 

  TheLHovulationtestcontainsamembranestrip,whichisprecoatedwithmousemonoclonalanti-hLH captureantibodyontestbandregion.Themousemonoclonalanti-betahLH-colloidgoldconjugateand urinesamplemovesalongthemembranechromatographicallytothetestregion(T)andformsavisIBLe lineastheantibody-antigen-antibodygoldparticlecomplexforms.TheLHovulationtestdevicehas aletterofTandCas"TestLine"and"ControlLine"onthesurfaceofthecase.BoththeTestLineand ControlLineinresultwindowarenotvisiblebeforeapplyinganysamples.TheControlLineisusedfor proceduralcontrol.Controllineshouldalwaysappearifthetestprocedureisperformedproperlyand thetestreagentsofcontrollineareworking.Also,thiscontrolbandservesasareferenceofthecolor intensityofapproximately35mIU/mlhLH.Whentheintensityofthetestbandisequalorhigherthan thatofcontrolband,thetestispositive.
