英国TwistDx公司成立于1999年，是基于英国剑桥Babraham研究院建立的生物技术公司。该公司通过突破等温DNA扩增，开发的重组酶聚合酶扩增专利技术（RPA），被誉为DNA诊断领域的革命性创新。核心产品：
TwistDx公司开发的重组酶聚合酶扩增（RPA），被称为是可以替代PCR的核酸检测技术。以此为基础的TwistAmp核酸扩增产品，能够在15分钟内进行常温下的单分子核酸检测。该技术对硬件设备的要求很低，特别适合用于体外诊断、兽医、工业应用，食品检测，农业，公共卫生，生物安全和环境感知等相关领域。RPA反应的最适温度在37℃~42℃之间，无需变性，常温下即可反应，大大加快了PCR的速度。并且由于不需要温控设备，RPA可以真正实现便携式的快速核酸检测。RPA检测的灵敏度很高，能够将痕量的核酸（尤其是DNA）模板扩增到可检出水平，从单个模板分子得到大约1012扩增产物。无需复杂样品处理，即可实地检测；既可扩增DNA也可扩增RNA，省去额外的cDNA合成步骤；检测方式多样：终点检测、对扩增过程进行实时监控或通过侧流层析试纸条（LFD）读取结果。
