CoelenterazineisoftendissolvedinPropyleneglycol(PG)incombinationwithotheralcoholsfor invivo imagingstudies.LargeintravenousdosesofPGgivenoverashortperiodoftimecanbetoxic,including hyperosmolality,increasedaniongapmetabolicacidosis(duetolacticacidosis),acutekidneyinjury,andsepsis-likesyndrome.
