IjoinedBachemUKasaChemistintheSynthesisGroup,shortlyaftergraduatingfromuniversity.Initiallymydutiesfocusedonsolidphasepeptidesynthesisinasmallteam.Byandby,BachemUKexpandedandIwasappointedmanageroftheteam.Concurrenttothis,Ibeganapart-timePhDcourseincollaborationwithImperialCollegeLondonresearchingappetitesuppressinghormones.Mycurrentdutiesinvolvetheorganisationofalargenumberofprojects,troubleshootingproblemswithinstrumentationandsupervisingtheworkofthechemistsintheSynthesisGroup.WorkingatBachemhastaughtmethevalueofworkinghardaspartofateamandgivenmetheABIlitytomeettightdeadlineswithoutsacrificingquality.Ithoroughlyenjoymydaytodayworkastherearealwaysinterestingandchallengingprojects.

IjoinedtheSalesDepartmentofBachemAGasaTechnicalAssociate.Duringmytenure,Ihaveheldvariouspositionse.g.SalesRepresentative,TeamLeaderSales,andTeamLeaderBusinessDevelopment,beforeIwaspromotedtomycurrentpositionasDirectorofSales.Effective1stJanuary2012,IhavebeenresponsIBLeforthesalesofourGenericAPIs,thenon-GMPCustomSynthesis,andawiderangeofCatalogueProducts.Oursalesteamalsosupportsourcustomersonalltechnicalandregulatoryaspectsasneeded.Ienjoymyjobbecauseitpromotesabroadspectrumofknowledge,personalandprofessionalresponsibility,andflexibility.Ialsowelcomeandappreciatetheintensiveinteractionwithinternalandexternalcontacts.
