Background
Background information: By covalently modifying other proteins with the cell, small ubiquitin-related modifiers (SUMOs), are able to regulate the cell-cycle. In vertebrates, three SUMO proteins have been identified: SUMO-1, and the highly similar SUMO-2 and SUMO-3 (often referred to as SUMO-2/3). Comparably, one SUMO protein is expressed by invertebrates. Post-translational modifications by SUMO are thought to regulate multiple processes, including transcription, subcellular protein localization, and the stability of proteins.Product description: This antibody was raised against full length human SUMO-2.
