对高度保守的哺乳动物基因产物有更高的描述
由于鸡与哺乳动物的距离至少有1亿年之久，它们倾向于将哺乳动物的任何基因产物视为外来物，并产生强烈的免疫反应。
简单双疣状
鸡IgYs可以与小鼠和兔抗体一起使用，没有交叉反应的危险。针对鸡igy的二级抗体不会与哺乳动物igg发生交叉反应。

鸡IgY的茎部没有“Fc结构域”

不激活哺乳动物补体系统，允许鸡IgYs在体内应用。
