Aminopterin is used as bioactive small molecule, Cancer Research, chiral reagentHAT (hypoxanthine, aminopterin, thymidine) medium: aminopterin blocks synthesis of GTP and TTP (DNA synthesis). Used for the selection of hybrydoma cells for production of monoclonal antibodies.Folic acid antagonist.Potent inhibitor ofgrowth and of connective tissue proliferation.
