Sperm-Chex is an assayed quality control that can be used to assess the accuracy and precision of the laboratory’s manual sperm counting methods. The control has two clinically significant levels of control to simulate the sperm cell concentrations found in patient samples. Sperm-Chex is the only manual sperm count control that contains stabilized sperm cells. Competitor quality controls contain latex beads which do not have the same chamber loading or optical characteristics. Lab technologists can use Sperm-Chex as they would a patient sample and can be assured that the sperm analysis process is being thoroughly tested for sperm cell quantification.
