The mouse CD14 kit has been developed for the quantitative measurement of natural and recombinant mouse CD14 in serum, plasma, other body fluids and culture medium.
Principle of the test: The mouse CD14 ELISA test kit is a solid-phase enzyme-Iinked immunosorbent assay based on the sandwich principle. Samples /standards as well as POD labelled second antibody (tracer) are incubated together at ELISA modules, precoated with antibodies for mouse CD14. During this incubation, mouse CD14 is captured by solid bound antibody. If mouse CD14 is present in the sample, the tracer antibodies will bind to the captured CD14. The excess tracer is removed by washing. Next substrate solution is added to the wells. Colour will be developed proportionally to the amount of mouse LBP present in the sample. The enzyme reaction is stopped by the addition of stopping solution and the optical density (OD) at 450 nm is measured with a spectrophotometer. A standard curve is obtained by plotting the OD versus the corresponding concentrations of the known standards. The mouse CD14 concentration of samples with unknown concentrations, which are run with the standards, can be determined from the standard curve.
