Interleukin-17E (IL-17E), also commonly called IL-25, is apro-inflammatory cytokine member of a six-species family ofproteins (IL-17A-17F). IL-17F stimulates secretion of IL-8 andinduces activation of NF-kappaB by binding to the receptorIL-17RB. Recombinant rat IL-17E is a non-glycosylated,disulfide-linked homodimer, containing two 145 amino acidproteins and having a total molecular mass of 35.5 kDa.
