Description

Product nameOptical properties

Anti-Myc ATTO647 (clone 9E10)λex647nm,λem669nm

Target

Immunogen : synthetic peptide corresponding to aa 408-439 from C-terminus of human c-myc.Sequence :Epitope sequence, EQKLISEEDL (aa 410-419 of human c-myc protein).

Description

The Myc Tag is an epitope tag, commonly used to localize gene products in many types of cultured cells, to study the topology of proteins and protein complexes. Anti-Myc is especially useful whenever no primary antibodies against the proteins of interest are available, mostly because they are less immunogenic and low abundant.Monoclonal Anti-Myc is directed against a peptide epitope of the human proto-oncogene p62c-myc. The immunogen corresponds to amino acids 408-439 of the Leucine zipper region of human c-Myc (AEEQKLISEEDLLRKRREQLKHKLEQLRNSCA). Anti-Myc recognizes the epitope EQKLISEEDL.The antibody is used for the immunodetection and functional characterization of Myc and recombinant proteins containing the Myc epitope tag. It is frequently used for the detection and characterization of recombinant expressed Myc-tagged proteins in vivo and in vitro or proteins containing the epitope EQKLISEEDL. Anti-Myc facilitates protein detection in all blotting techniques and immunofluorescence & -chemistry of tagged proteins. The Myc Tag is an epitope tag, commonly used to localize gene products in many types of cultured cells, to study the topology of proteins and protein complexes.
