GoldBio/Caffeic acid phenethyl ester/5 g/C-070-5

Caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE) is the active component of propolis,a honeybee hive product. Caffeic acid phenethyl ester is a specificinhibitor of the nuclear transcription factor, NF-κB. CAPE has beenshown to significantly suppress the Lipoxygenase pathway of arachidonicacid metabolism during inflammation. Caffeic acid phenethyl esterinhibits HIV-1 integrase, and also inhibits proliferation of transformedcells. It induces apoptosis in transformed fibroblasts, and interfereswith EGF signal transduction affecting both protein kinase C andOrnithine Decarboxylase activity.
