ICG is a NIR fluorescent substance which obtain license for clinical uses from US FDA (Food and Drug administration), along with Methylene Blue. It is used in Ophthalmologic angiography, liver function tests, solid tumor detection in surgical operation and angiography. Because ICG effectively absorbs near infrared wavelength that is about 800nm and its absorption ratio for wavelength of visible light range is low, noises caused by Autofluorescence is low. ICG Maleimide high-specifically bonds Thiol group (-SH) containing Cysteine on protein or peptide. After conducting pre-treatment process that reduces disulfide bond in protein using reducing agent such as DTT, TCEP or 2-mercaptoethanol prior to reaction, it can conjugate ICG Maleimide and protein. Excitation / Emission (nm): 785 / 821 nm. Extinction coefficient: 240,000 cm-1M-1. CF280: 0.05.
