Description

CleaveswithintheN,N"-diacetylchitobiose(GlcNAc-GlcNAc)coreofhighmannoseandsomehybridtypeN-glycans. EndoglycosidaseH,mannosyl-glycoproteinendo-beta-N-acetylglucosaminidase.

Specificity:
CleavesbetweentheGlcNAcresiduesofthechitobiose(GlcNAc-GlcNAc) coreofN-linkedglycans.Oligomannose&somehybridtypeN-glycansarereleasedfromglycoproteins,leavingasingleGlcNAcattachedtoasparagine.ThisspecificityisdistinctfromEndoF2(GKE-5008)whichalsocleavesbiantennarycomplextypeN-glycans,andPNGaseF(GKE-5006)whichreleasesmostN-glycansbycleaving betweentheinnermostGlcNAcandasparagine.
