Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human neuroblastoma tissue, labeling H2A with PTM-1008 at 1/500 dilution.Nuclear staining on tumor cells of human neuroblastoma was observed. Counter stained with hematoxylin.
Scientific Description
The nucleosome, made up of four core histone proteins (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4), is the primary building block of chromatin. Nucleosomes wrap and compact DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to the cellular machineries. Histone H2A helps regulate chromatin structure and function through post-translational modifications and specialized histone variants. It is an important protein in the emerging field of epigenetics, where its sequence variants and variable modification states are thought to play a role in the dynamic and long term regulation of genes.
Source/Purification | ||||
This product is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to C terminus of human histone H2A. Antibodies are purified by peptide affinity chromatography.
Storage & Stability | ||||
The antibody is kept in PBS with 50% glycerol and 0.01% sodium azide. Upon receipt, please centrifuge the antibody at 12,000 x g for 20 seconds and store the antibody at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Stable for 12 months from date of receipt. Leave the antibody at room temperature for 2 minutes and gently mixed using pipette before usage.
