Immunomagnetic Separation Products

ImmTech offers a series of high quality reagents and supplies for the ImmunoMagnetic Separation (IMS) of multiple types of microorganisms from complex sample matrices. This technology includes analyte-specific paramagnetic beads (Cryptosporidium, E. coli, Entercocci, and Giardia) and accessory reagents that permit the rapid, sensitive, and specific isolation of the selected target.

Cryptosporidium IMS Beads

The ImmTech Cryptosporidium IMS Beads (Crypto IMS Beads) have been developed for the immunomagnetic separation (IMS) of Cryptosporidium spp. oocysts from a wide range of sample matrices. The high sensitivity and specificity of the Crypto IMS Beads results from the covalent attachment of a high affinity monoclonal antibody developed against an epitope on the wall of Cryptosporidium oocysts. When combined with the ImmTech IMS Assay Buffer (DIL-1002) and ImmTech IMS Wash Buffer (BFR-1001), Cryptosporidium oocysts can be efficiently isolated and enumerated by a variety of techniques including, but not limited to immunofluorescent antibody (IFA) staining and PCR.

IMS Assay Buffer

Immunocapture and immunodetection methodologies that utilize paramagnetic bead technology have been widely used for the sensitive and specific detection/isolation of a variety of substances/organisms from a variety of sample matrices. Maximal sensitivity and specificity of these assays can only be achieved when the background/nonspecific activities of the samples have been minimized. The ImmTech IMS Assay Buffer is designed to maximize the capture of viruses, bacteria, and parasites using paramagnetic beads, while minimizing the nonspecific trapping and attachment of materials derived from complex sample matricies.

Intended Use:

The ImmTech IMS Assay Buffer is intended for use as a diluent for immunomagnetic separation assays. The diluent can be used for the direct dilution of water sample concentrates, environmental samples, enrichment broth, etc. and provides the appropriate environment for performing the IMS assay.

Applications:

The ImmTech IMS Assay Buffer can be used to improve the sensitivity and specificity of a variety of immunomagnetic separation assays including, but not limited to, the isolation of Listeria, Salmonella. E. coli O157, Cryptosporidium, and Giardia.

Immunoflourescence Assay (IFA) Diluent

Immunodetection methodologies have been widely used for the sensitive and specific detection of a variety of substances in a variety of sample matrices. Maximal sensitivity of these assays can only be achieved when the background/nonspecific activities of the samples have been minimized. The ImmTech IFA Diluent is designed to prevent the development of nonspecific signal derived from complex sample matrix effects or the nonspecific adsorption of reactive test components.

Intended Use:

The ImmTech IFA Diluent is intended for use as a diluent for immunofluorescent assays. The diluent can be used for the direct dilution of fluorochrome-labelled antibodies in direct detection assays. Alternatively, when using an indirect detection system the ImmTech IFA Diluent can be utilized for dilution of the primary antibody or the detection antibody.

Applications:

The ImmTech IFA Diluent can be used to improve the sensitivity and specificity of a variety of direct and indirect fluorescent antigen detection assays.
