A synthetic peptide from c-terminal region of human Cystatin 8 (CST8) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein has been used as the antigen.

Target
Function: Performs a specialized role during sperm development and maturation.Subcellular location: SecretedTissue specificity: Proximal caput region of the epididymis. Lower expression in the testis. Within the testis it is localized to the elongating spermatids, whereas within the epididymis it is exclusively synthesized by the proximal caput epithelium.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
