ChromogenixLMWHeparinControlPlasmais forthequalitycontrolofchromogenicheparinassays.

 

Calibration:

Lyophilizedhumanplasma,preparedbyadditionofLMWheparin.Calibratedagainstthe1stInternationalWHOstandard(LMWheparin).Forconstructionofcalibrationcurvesforqualitycontrolofchromogenicheparinassays.

Composition:

  • ControlPlasmaLMWHeparin,Low:4x1mlvials(approximately0.3IU/ml)ofalyophilizedpowderofhumanplasmacontaininglowmolecularweight(LMW)heparin.
  • ControlPlasmaLMWHeparin,High:4x1mlvials(approximately0.7IU/ml)ofalyophilizedpowderofhumanplasmacontaininglowmolecularweight(LMW)heparin.

Background:

Heparinisthemostfrequentlyusedantithrombotictherapeuticdrug.TheBIOLOGicalactivityofthissulfatedglycosaminoglycanresidesinitsABIlitytoaccelerate(upto2000-fold)theinhibitoryeffectofantithrombin(AT)onthecoagulationproteases.TheLowandHighLevelsofControlPlasmaLMWHeparinarepreparedbymeansofadedicatedprocessandcontainLowandHighconcentrationofLMWHeparin.TheyareintendedfortheassessmentofprecisionandaccuracyoftheassayatHeparinlowandhighlevels.
