The Innova Biosciences Lightning-Link® Rapid Biotinylation Kit (Type B) enables the direct biotinylation of antibodies, proteins and peptides, or any other biomolecule with an available amine group, with 100% recovery of materials. The kit requires only 30 seconds hands-on time and the conjugates will be ready to use under 20 minutes. The technology is fully scalable from 10ug to 1g or more and stringently QC tested for consistent high quality and excellent batch-to-batch reproducibility.
The attachment of biotin to biomolecules is an important laboratory technique. Biotin binds to the tetrameric avidin proteins, including streptavidin and neutravidin, with exceptionally high affinity, and this interaction is exploited in various applications such as western blotting, immunohistochemistry and ELISA.
