Human IgE for Mast Cell Degranulation Assays

Cat. No. 250206 Human IgE (biotinylated) is successfully used to sensitize human mast cells and trigger degranulation when streptavidin is added to the cell culture media. Human IgE products have been used to stimulate:

human mast cellshuman airway smooth muscle cells (HASM)

human bronchial/tracheal smooth muscle cells (B/TSM)

acute myelogenous leukemia blasts (AML)

human neutrophils

Biotinylated human IgE and streptavidin trigger degranulation of LAD2 human mast cells.LAD2 cells were sensitized overnight with 0.1 ug/ml biotinylated human IgE (Abbiotec Cat. No. 250206). Cells were incubated with streptavidin (SA) for 30 min at 37°C. Degranulation was monitored by beta-hexosaminidase release into the supernatant calculated as a percentage of total content.

Human IgE

Cat. No. 250202 is a non-immune human IgEproduced in vitro by a monoclonal hybridomaisolated from a healthy human donor. The IgE is an affinity purified fully human antibody with epsilon heavy chain and kappa light chain. The monoclonal source of IgE ensures antibody property consistency and other Ig isotype contamination free. Human IgE products can be used as standards in quantitative IgE assays and cell sensitization assays. Abbiotec offers human IgE in purified, azide free and biotinylated formats.
