NANOSENSORS™AR5-NCLRAFMtipsaredesignedfornon-contactortappingmodeAFM.TheNCLprobeisdesignedforSPMsystemsrequiringaminimumcantileverlength>125µmoraresonancefrequencyoflessthan400kHz.Comparedtothehighfrequencynon-contacttypeNCHthemaximumscanningspeedisslightlyreduced.ThiscantilevertypecombineshighoperationstABIlitywithoutstandingsensitivityandfastscanningability.

Formeasurementsonsampleswithsidewallanglesapproaching90°NANOSENSORS™producesspeciallytailoredtips.ThesetipsareFIB(FocusedIonBeam)milledtoachieveahighaspectratioportionbetterthan5:1attheendofthecommonsilicontip.Thissubtractivemethodofproducingthehighaspectrationeedleofferstheadvantageofhighlateralstiffnessandrigidityofthetip.
