Thisantibodyisdesigned,produced,andvalidatedaspartofacollaborationbetweenRocklandandtheNationalCancerInstitute(NCI).TheAGAPsarethelargestsubgroupoftheArfGAPfamilywith11genesinhumans.AGAP4(alsoknownasArf-GAPwithGTPase,ANKrepeatandPHdomain-containingprotein4)isaGTPaseactivatingprotein.Itisoverexpressedincancercells,preventsapoptosisandpromotescancercellinvasion.AGAP4andotherAGAPproteinslikelyfunctioninthesecretorypathway,whichcouldexplainalinkwiththeinvasivebehaviorofcancercells.Reliableantibodieswouldbeinvaluableforstudiesofthephysiologicfunctionoftheproteinsandhowismaybelinkedtocancercellinvasivebehavior.Anti-AGAP4AntibodyisusefulforresearchersinterestedinDevelopmentalBiology,apoptosis,Cancer,Immunology,andNuclearSignalingresearch.
